Storybook Topic Research

So I really want to focus on the idea that Gods are immortal. In Greek, Roman and even Norse mythology, the God's intermingled with humans. Now that no one worships or believes in the them, they have had to take up jobs suitable to their skillset.

In order to tell this story, I want to be the news breaking reporter who tracks down these Gods, tells you their backstory and how it effects their chosen paths of today. Here are some story example ideas.

From Children of the Dawn Old Tales of Greece by Elsie Finnimore Buckley
    The Curse of Echo
  • Echo an immortal nymph is now a medical transcriptionist.
  • She repeats everything she hears as she types.
  • She is not able to verbally tell her side of the story, but instead types it up for the reporter to read.
From Old Greek Nature Stories by F.A. Farrar
    Apollo
  • Currently a musician who sings of his past life as the God of the Sun
  • He is a bit vain and believes that his willingness to shine solar rays keeps people healthy and inspires them to explore the arts
  • how he killed the serpent of night
From Stories of Old Greece and Rome by Emilie K Baker
    Bacchus
  • runs a winery in California
  • tells the story of hos origins and how it taught him to be so good at his job
